The Post’s Anahita Moussavian and Johannah Masters style summer’s hottest runway trends two different ways â and share a few more fashion finds they’re excited about.
Anahita: An array of florals can be tricky to pull off. They key? Avoid pieces that compete with one another. I love the romantic vibe of this fluttery dress, and the subtle floral-shaped embellishments on both the bag and shoes create the perfect bouquet of stylish goodness.
Johannah: This A-line slip dress with multiple flower patterns is a perfect go-to frock for any warm weather event. I paired it with graphic statement earrings and a black basket bag for a modern look.
Day to night
Anahita: Initially a skeptic, Iâve come around to this sleepy trend because it can involve so many things I love: pastels, lace and light layers. I styled this sliplike skirt with a cropped bra top and topped it with a ladylike robe coat for day-to-night dreaminess.
Johannah: Whatâs not to love about wearing pajama-inspired clothing during the day? This oversize asymmetrical shirtdress couldnât be more comfortable; a black belt, prim tote and slide heels ensure the look is chic, not sloppy.
Anahita: I probably wonât make it to the Italian Riviera this summer, but I can dress the part with an off-the-shoulder top, striped skirt and ruffles galore. A sleek block-heel anchors the look and keeps it from being too much. Plus, the outfit is supercomfy, so Iâm ready to go wherever the day â or night â may take me.
Johannah: This affordable Zara dress is the perfect shade of red, and embroidered details give it an exotic edge. Pair it with colorful, pompom accessories and Iâm good to go â just about anywhere.
