VENICE, Calif. — Heavy beach fog couldn’t stop Tommy Hilfiger from embracing California cool.

On Wednesday night, the designer shut down L.A.’s Venice Boardwalk to show off his Spring 2017 collection and Hilfiger’s latest TommyXGigi collaboration. The show’s move from New York proved popular: Thousands of fans waited in line for access to “Tommyland,” a temporary beachside theme park filled with branded carnival rides, Hilfiger clothing pop-ups, food trucks and virtual stylists. “We were inspired by California – the youthful attitude, the laid-back lifestyle, and the spirit of festivals where music and style collide,”  read the designer’s press notes.

So who cared about the absence of sun?

1. Naturally, Gigi Hadid opened the show

…to the beat of California Love. Who walked after her? Sister Bella Hadid, of course.

2. All eyes were on Lady Gaga

The pop star jetted to the Venice show following her massively successful Super Bowl halftime performance. With her hair in a high ponytail, Gaga wore sequined hot pants and fishnets (and used a jacket as a blanket to ward off the night chill).

3. Americana took center stage

On the runway, models including Joan Smalls and Hailey Baldwin showed off 55 instantly shoppable Hilfiger looks, including ’90-inspired low-slung metallic pants, patched denim, cactus-embellished handbags and cowboy booties.

4. The show had a family vibe

Famous faces sitting front row included Rachel Zoe, Cindy Crawford’s kids Kaia and Presley Gerber and Whitney Port. But the sweetest sightings were the Hadids. Exes Yolanda and Mohamed Hadid cheered on their model daughters and Anwar Hadid popped up to present his sister Gigi with a bouquet of yellow roses as she closed the show.

5.  The after-party rocked

Fergie delivered a killer set in the name of fashion. Plus, there were amazing #crowdvibes:
